Subpar port, but the original SNES version is still in there
Pros:
-At its core, the SNES Classic is still in there and is still worth your time. Game mostly plays the same and extra features can be ignored with no impact on gameplay whatsoever.
-However, if you like extras the DS port extra end game content is included in this version and adds approx. 5 hours of end game content
Cons:
-No PSX version extras mode
-No PSX version anime cutscenes (this is a pro for some)
-Touch controls can be problematic in some areas (Deathpeak!) but game is easily beatable (Ive done it).
-Drains iPhone 6 battery more than twice as fast as other Square RPG ports on the same device
-On my iPhone 6 there are some text clipping errors in the menu. HP values can run together and skill descriptions have icons indicating the element of the skill and it is often imposed over a word/words in the skill description
-If the SNES version is your favorite you may be annoyed at a number of items and skills that have been renamed to be more in-line with more modern square titles.
For me, personally, the game loses a star for no extras mode menu and another star for the wonky controls and the clumsy menu UI. However, the core game is still there and still awesome!
