Everything about this game is Fire Combat, Story, All the Ending, side Quest, This Game was Ahead of its time and 30 years later the combat has not been matched, from duel tech, triple tech the gameplay never gets boring. 10/10 A MUST PLAY GAME for any gamer.

Plays like a dream on my phone. The gameplay, music, and story is peak as always. The UI for the phone and the overall performance is very good. Only thing I would add would be an option to adjust the sound settings. Otherwise though it’s perfect 👍.

The game runs great, I have zero complaints. I do wonder how long I have to wait for you guys to do CHRONO cross though…..

Haven’t gotten far in it but I love it. It was hard to move around at first, Then I connected my switch controller to my iPad and it’s amazing!!!

I can’t seem to transfer this app that I bought with a gift card to my new phone and that’s unfortunate that I’ll have to burn more money on this and wait a long while to be interested to play a completely new save file.

There are a few bugs but honestly this is my childhood game so i love it anyway. I wish they would get rid of those bugs because i did pay 10 bucks for this so i want to work properly but hey it’s still worth it.

I love this game dearly and it works fine on iPhone. I downloaded the app on my Apple TV, which is signed into the same iCloud/game center profile with the hopes that I would be able to load a cloud save after playing the game on my phone for two hours. Sadly, this is not the case. Cloud saves from one device will not show up on a different device. In the iOS cloud save/load dialog, it specifically states that, “you can load data saved to cloud servers from other devices”. But this clearly doesn’t work so that’s a bummer. I would have just emulated it if I had known this so I didn’t spend $10. Otherwise it’s an amazing game

CAN WE PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET A PATCH THAT GIVES US THE OPTION TO REMOVE THE TERRIBLE SMOOTHING FILTER FROM THIS GAME AND ALLOW US TO SELECT THE UNFILTERED VERSION TO HAVE THE BEAUTIFUL RETRO GRAPHICS LIKE IN THE STEAM PC RELEASE SMH WITHOUT IT THIS GAME FEELS UNPLAYABLE IN MY OPINION.

The game described as supporting 8 languages but there is no option to change the game languages?

Needs an option for the original translation, I don’t know what a silver swords is or Athenian water. I need a lode sword and revives.

The new edition has lots of challenges you unlock after beating the game the first time. You can return will all of your old tools and advanced HP/MP to follow up on them with New Game+ mode. I bought this game when it debuted. Almost three decades later, I love it. The graphics are simple, but there is something special about it.

For those of you who don’t know, after snes, this game was released on PlayStation as part of the Final Fantasy Chronicles. It has a lot in common with FF, but it’s a lot like Secret of Mana, another Squaresoft snes title. This game is mostly a blast, except for the “slick and icy” part, which is just aggravating. I don’t need to pay to be angry. I get that for free. The animations are a lot of fun, though.

Finished this game after playing it on and off for around 6 years and it has an amazing payoff. There is many endings left for me to complete but this game needs to get a remake like Live A Live. The art, music, and world building is some of the best in gaming. Rest in peace Akira Toriyama.

There’s a reason this game is one of the greatest of all time. The characters, their design and dialogue, the story with them. It’s an amazing time, I implore all of you to play this masterpiece. Combat has aged very well. Play this on your Apple TV if you have one, it’s stunning to look at on a HD big screen. If your in mourning, me too. It’s the community he built that is massive, and don’t be afraid to reach out to them.

There is no audio. It is a game-specific problem. I tested several other apps, restarted, and made sure there were no other connected devices.

I love this game but wish the mobile version. You guys have on here had arena of ages it was on the ds lite version of CHRONO trigger and was a lot of fun you guys should add it im sure I’m not the only that would love it

Excellent game excellent story for the time it was made it definitely had a very complex story for the SNES that made it all the better wish they made a remake with todays graphics and more in depth time conundrums would be epic all in all 10/10 must buy and play……

Amazing redesign

This is one of my fav games all time but the sound only runs through ear buds. It won’t play through the speakers on the phone.

When you use the controls to move diagonally across the map, there’s a stutter. It doesn’t happen when you’re on the world map, but when you’re traversing normally across the game. Ex. A house, the fair, cathedral, etc.

Great iPhone version of the game but I wish the developers allowed us to play on our Apple Silicon Macs at home so I don’t always have to be on the phone to play this game. Imagine being able to play on the go and then continue where you left off but on your Mac Mini and using a keyboard or game controller. Without it I can’t give 5 stars. Hope the developers read this and I’ll change my rating. I don’t see why this isn’t an option already.

Can’t hear anything just downloaded it and volume is maxed and I checked if other apps played sound so I don’t know what’s really happening

If you play this, get a game controller attachment that you can put your iPhone in. Otherwise the movement lag is very pronounced. Otherwise a very good game

Really planned on giving this five stars, but the god awful touch controls made Lucca’s flashback sequence glitch out. There’s zero way to save her mom.

They improved the overworld walking mechanic and make it so you can move diagonal rather than simply adjacent paths. A big gripe i had with this game is they removed the FMVs that the PS1 Version had. This mobile version use to have it. But its now removed since the update? What gives?

This is my fist time ever playing this game, it looked so interesting and that’s it is, a great game with a awesome story if you like rpgs you’ll love this game. Seriously it’s great please consider it

Great port with amazing quality of life changes. Just one issue: in Extras, under Illustrations, you can view any picture, but when you tap the screen to exit that picture, the app crashes.

Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite games and one of the first JRPGs I’ve played. I remember blind renting in back in 1995. I absolutely hate the retranslating that happened for DS and this version but I guess that’s where we’re at. I only wish that those chat bubbles were removed or at least make it optional. Also if controller customization was added to the settings menu like it was originally.

How should i play this Classic without music and sound. It is happening just to me?

This is the way to port jrpg games. I prefer to play on iPad. When controller support is taken away from games that had were released them, it feels a little dumb to say the least. This game does it correctly. Thank you for the effort.

So far the game runs well. I hope the devs keep it optimized for devices such as mine which is a 11 Pro Max. Otherwise I may have to turn off automatic updates for it or something. I have always been a fan of this game and it is great to be able to have a copy of it even if it is a digital copy. It is sad that the series is somewhat short lived however. As far as I know; there are only two official dedicated sequels to the game called Radical Dreamers and Chrono Cross. From what I understand; Radical Dreamers was the first sequel but it was text based and was very obscure and unappealing and easily neglected because of those factors along with difficulty issue’s. It would be nice if Square could release a updated version much similar to the original game with the same engine and some of the various mechanics that made Chrono Trigger such a legendary game. I remember reading there was a group that recreated the game with such changes before, but only as a fan based project sadly and nothing official.. I am sure it would be very enjoyable if even as a text based game, Radical Dreamers made a port over to the mobile market with some improvements to the user interface and combat systems. It is surprising that while Final Fantasy IV had been updated so many times; other games including ones related to the more notable have received less attention.. As for Chrono Cross; I never actually played this one myself, but I have heard and read both good and bad things about it. In a way; it’s a title sounds as if it needs a major story rewrite or something. I do not remember much given I only know so little to begin with. But if it is ever re-released; hopefully it will also be updated. I really want the story from the original game to continue and carry on and for Chrono Trigger to be recognized for the long term. There are still things I have yet to try with the game such as Bluetooth and Wired Control support and limitations and general gameplay in the long term. Since I only recently downloaded this version; I still have much exploring and testing to do, but again, so far it is great and runs well! I have only ever played the version for the Super NES. I wanted the version for the PlayStation but it has been hard to obtain and the one that could be played on the GBA/ NDS had some issue’s I was not found about due to certain restrictions. I noticed many of the remakes coming out are beginning to have more CGI themed cinematic’s and/ or gameplay such as FF IV. I mean no offense, they like that they are being updated, but some bits do look weird. And I also noticed some reviews on games like the Mana games needing updating to run more efficiently. Anyway; please keep up the good work and please do not push to hard to make some already great gamers more perfect than they already are! It’s like the FFVII Remake; I am one of those who do not enjoy The whole release by episode and the digital content theme’s.. It is actually quite the frustration.. Thank you

Square Enid is incapable of slim dunks. Port one of the best RPG’s to mobile? Sure. Oh but it has an awful ugly smear over everything and the UI and font is terrible.

Chrono Trigger is a timeless classic. I love it, and I hope that if you’re reading this that you do or will love it as well.

This is a port that available on windows steam but mac steam, and while it is available for IOS it is not supported to run by apple silicon laptops??????? This is unacceptable with this very high price

If you love RPG’s and have never played this SNES Square-soft classic do yourself a favor and pull the trigger and buy it. It doesn’t even have to be this App Store. This story takes you threw time and will be an adventure that you will never forget. Forget about the graphics and delve into the story and have fun grinding levels. There is a new game + mode which is well worth it.

When you come from the Nintendo DS version and play this. It’s not even worth the buy. Missing cut scenes. Just buy the Nintendo DS version. Expensive but it’s the definitive version of Chrono Trigger.

Played it back on the SNES. Honestly I was not expecting to like the mobile version. I was wrong. This is great! The worst part is the cutscenes (kept from the PS1) that feel like they interrupt the moment, but you can skip them and there are not that many.

As far as I can tell this is a pretty good port of CHRONO Trigger. I’ve clocked in 12 hours so far and it’s never had any glitches or crashes and I play on the IPhone X. I had some trouble with a mini game at Leanne Square where you toss the rocks at the creatures to push them back but other than that it’s been alright. It was just slow response time to my button pressing.

I’m not sure why, but it’s hard to hit the wheel on the dragon tank. I can change the target to anything else no problem, but tapping that wheel doesn’t always work, and when I fail to tap the wheel, it thinks I’m locking in the default selection of the body. That wheel killed me twice because I just couldn’t attack it. Please fix this.

Really love the quality of this port, well done. Movement needs improvement - for example in Proto Dome level when chasing the rat, cursor isn’t reactive enough for movement. When standing on the save points, can’t really click on them and have to click a bunch of times around the save points to activate the save menu. There needs to be a way to turn off sound in game.
